“Bruno Munari exhibition” guided tour – Fundación Juan March
23 March 2022 @1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
23 March 2022 @ 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm
Our fellow member Concha will guide us through the first retrospective
dedicated in Spain to Bruno Munari (Milan, 1907-1998). This is the most
complete exhibition to date outside Italy about this multidisciplinary
artist, especially known for being one of the most important figures of
design and visual communication of the twentieth century.
The exhibition includes paintings, drawings and sculptures, projections and games of
light, pieces of graphic and industrial design, typographic exercises
and writings and children’s books, among other works.
The selection ranges from Munari’s first works linked to Futurism and
graphic design to his latest experimentations of the nineties. The
exhibition and the publication that accompanies it are organized in
areas built around the methodological concepts essential to Munari’s
work – time, method, lightness, experimentation or contemplation – in
which about three hundred works from private collections and public and
private institutions are presented.
After our visit, we will gather at the museum cafe and talk about the exhibition.
* It will be a private English guided tour.
* Free Entrance for this exhibition.
* We will meet by the reception of the museum at 12:50, and the tour will start at 13:00.
