February 28 @ 8:50 am – 7:00 pm
If you have done or just appreciate embroidery, you will love this outing to Lagartera, to meet a small group of needlewomen keeping this world famous traditional embroidery style alive.
We can learn about its history in the Village Museum and visit several stores where a variety of merchandise is available ranging from small, simple pillow & seat covers, placemats, table runners, tablecloths and napkin sets for under 30 euros to the most beautiful, elaborate holiday tablecloths and bedspreads you have ever seen – heirloom quality.
These make great gifts. They will also do custom orders to match your fine china or holiday designs. **
— We will leave by train from Madrid Atocha-Cercanias at 08:50 and arrive at Oropesa Station at 10:36. (14,95 euros)
— We will return by train at 17:48 arriving at 19:38 (14,95 euros).
— We will shop, visit the embroidery/village museum, and have lunch.
