The Palacio Fernan Nunez began to be built in neoclassical style by the I Duke of Fernán Núñez in 1790. The current configuration is the product of the remodeling carried out by the Count of Cervellón, husband of the daughter of the I Duke of Fernán Núñez, with the purpose of turning it into one of the most outstanding residences in Madrid from the mid-nineteenth century.
It is located on Calle Santa Isabel, near the Atocha station and since 1985 it has been the headquarters of the Fundación de los Ferrocarriles Españoles.
This palace has survived to this day in perfect condition and maintaining its original furniture, lamps and ornaments, as if frozen in time. Its sumptuousness and great style have made it, for more than seven decades, a magnificent setting for period films and series.
