Not sure what you are in the mood for this evening? Why not give Fox Cook and Sound a try?  On the recommendation of a friend who said it was one of the new hotspots of Madrid, we decided to go check it out.  This restaurant and bar has a little bit of everything so I am sure you will be able to find a room to fit your mood.  The restaurant is set up to mimic a house, therefore each room is decorated with a different flavor.  We visited towards the end of November, so unfortunately while the terreza looked inviting and relaxing we were not able to enjoy it – guess we will have to go back in the spring/summer.

When you enter the restaurant the first room reminded me of a game room.  There are pool tables, bar, tables to sit, and a giant screen for the sport fans of the group. If it is a game night I highly recommend reserving a spot – it was packed!

As you continue through the restaurant you will feel as you are entering a whole new restaurant. The next area – the kitchen – is bright and white!  Here you can enjoy your dinner while watching them prepare sushi with skill.

Next we move on to what is called the Library – although around 1 am the D.J. takes the stage and it is the hotspot of the restaurant. Earlier in the evening the Library is the more formal area for dining where you can enjoy a delicious menu.  Just be prepared for the music to start pumping if you are eating late.

Hidden away is a private room you can reserve for a larger group, you will feel like you are in your own dining room at home.  Except no need to do the prework or the cleanup, great way to enjoy a special event or birthday!

If you are feeling more like a casual night, no worries. Head down to the garage for a bite or a drink.  The atmosphere is relaxed and here you can enjoy a drink at the bar or grab a table for dinner.  And don’t worry – you can still head up tot he Library to dance later in the night.

While the menu is not large we found the food to be delicious. I can especially recommend the sushi, lomo, and the pulpo.  We also had the risotto, decent but I would try something else instead.  We had a couple of desserts – the one I like most was Torrijas – kind of like a soaked French toast – incredible!
