A reminder that November 9th is a bank holiday in Madrid and there's no school for those in the centre, board member Denise Suarez is organising a meet-up for families in Retiro.

MESSAGE FROM THE
VICE PRESIDENT TEAM
Plans are now fully underway for our next meeting together. November’s theme embraces the idea of “giving”, the unique talents of our members, a welcoming entrance that doubles as an “art gallery” for several of our own INC artists and an assortment of flavours from around the world.
We’ve had some inquiries about the overall vision of this event, so allow us to explain the concept a little further. When we first found this location, we were told it holds art exhibits on a regular basis – this was thought number one: let’s seek members who are interested in holding a stall and presenting their work! Then, as we scanned the space, we noted the stage – aha – thought number two: let’s host an “open mic/open space” kind of feel where members can perform a number of their varied talents! Finally, in association with the the idea of Thanksgiving - we thought an international feast would be the perfect accompaniment to this day of “giving,” hence thought number three: let’s have a collection of dishes that speaks to the international community that we so proudly present.
So this is where we are right now! Finding members who fit any of the three categories above. We truly appreciate those who have already reached out and once we finalise the performances, artists and dishes we will be in touch with further details.
We are so looking forward to this event – “Friends giving: Time for Talents to Shine” is no better way to celebrate the diversity within our club.
